¹ú²ú̽»¨â€™s Annual Student Art Show is on the horizon, with an opening reception in the Annetta Kraushaar Gallery on April 24.
Student artists were invited to submit works in any medium for evaluation by a juror who is a professional from a field within the visual arts. This year’s juror is Austin-based artist Joe Garcia III. Garcia, who draws inspiration for his own art from his family and culture, did a showing at ¹ú²ú̽»¨ last fall and agreed to return to campus for the event.
On April 24 at the show’s opening, Juror Award prizes will be announced during a reception which will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. in the gallery, which is located within the Schuech Fine Arts Center on campus. Visitors will have a chance to visit with the artists and enjoy refreshments. The artwork will remain on display through early May. There is no charge for admission to the show and all are welcome.
