Becoming an HSI: ¹ú²ú̽»¨ to Present Documentary February 26

In 2018, ¹ú²ú̽»¨ officially became a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) as designated by the U.S. Department of Education. The journey to get there, however, began many years earlier, with deliberate actions taken by many different people to bring diversity to the campus.

In honor of that journey, ¹ú²ú̽»¨ invites the community to view a new documentary entitled Becoming an HSI: A ¹ú²ú̽»¨ Story, produced by ¹ú²ú̽»¨ alum Ryan Anderson, on Thursday, February 26 at 6 p.m.

Guests are invited to enjoy a light dinner and refreshments on campus outside Langner Hall (502 Prexy Street), then watch the film indoors, in the Center for Mexican American Studies. After the screening, Ryan Anderson and others will be on hand for a question-and-answer session. This event is free and all are welcome.
