It’s been fourteen years since the Black and Gold President’s Council was established and the first group of inductees became official representatives of the university. To become a member of BGPC, rising junior and senior students must first be nominated by a faculty or staff member, then apply and undergo an intense interview process. If chosen, they are required to maintain at least a 3.0 G.P.A., remain active within the campus community, and attend numerous events on behalf of ¹ú²ú̽»¨, including Board of Regents, presidential, and development and alumni events. Through these experiences, BGPC members act as ambassadors for ¹ú²ú̽»¨, and are given valuable networking and mentoring opportunities.
This year, ¹ú²ú̽»¨ welcomes eight new members to the council: Ainsley Lake, Andreya Lozano-Lomeli, Isaiah Jones, Lisa Busby, Michaela McLean, Monica Sitachitta, Nicole Bloodgood, and Stormy Owenby.
Graduating senior BGCP members are Emily Clymer, Gianna (Gigi) Baeza-Smith, Hallie Strange, Logan Randall, and Taylor Vannett.

¹ú²ú̽»¨ applauds and appreciates the dedication and service of all BGPC members.
