August is National Make-A-Will Month, a time set aside to remind people of the importance of making a plan to manage their assets and protect their loved ones after they鈥檙e gone.
鈥淢ake-A-Will Month is a yearly reminder that encourages individuals to create, or update, their estate plans,鈥 said Kim Gannon, 国产探花 Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy. 鈥淎 will is a powerful document that can give everyone peace of mind, but nearly 68% of Americans, don鈥檛 have one, or the one they have isn鈥檛 current.鈥
Gannon said a will ensures your assets are distributed according to your wishes and allows you to leave your own unique legacy that鈥檚 based on your beliefs and values. 鈥淚ncluding a charitable donation in your will can support causes you care about and leave a lasting impact for future generations.鈥
